A process includes cooling the air in a prim. cooler, compressing it, allowing the air to expand, liquifying the air, sepg. out the nitrogen and then storing the oxygen in a container (DE4016897). Before the start of the flight device e.g. aircraft, the condenser/separator is thermally insulated. Before the oxygen is liquefied, the air inlet is opened and the air is passed through the turbine, through the cooler and through the compressor. Once the predetermined, low air temp. is achieved at the condenser/separator entrance, the bypass line is closed. USE/ADVANTAGE - The process enables oxygen to be liquefied quickly and simple.
