The inserting part of a safety belt fastening lock has a tongue (10) fitting into the clasp. An integral belt holder plate (12) has two parallel slots (14, 15) separated by a broad bridge (13) and an extra deflector (20) parallel to it, spaced from the belt holder plate, to which it is detachably secured. The looped belt section (171) of the deflector passes through a hole (19). The deflector is on a plane parallel to the belt holder plate and is surrounded by the belt section for approx. 180 deg. The deflector may be in the form of a bar (21) rigidly fixed to the belt holder plate, with a protruding angular lug near the front end, releasing the inserting hole at its other front end.
