A violinist is able to hold the violin firmly in the required position by placing the chin on a support attached to the body of the instrument. The support is made from steel strip with a thickness of 0.5 mm. The strip is bent to a double S form and is attached to the body of the violin with a layer of cork or rubber between the chin and the upper and lower surfaces of the violin. A pad of soft rubber (7) is attached to the upper part of the support on which the chin rests. USE/ADVANTAGE - Support for a violin which can be adjusted in height to suit the violinist.
