The plug for a light conductor has a pin (3) in which the conductor is fixed. The pin and possibly further parts firmly conneted to it are axially sprung retained in the plug. A positioning element (4) is fixable selectively in various angle positions and non-rotatably relatively to the pin in the plug for determination of the relative position of the pin in a plug counterpiece. The pin (3) is held in an assembly (5), and the positioning element can be moved into different positions on the pin assembly, the axial path being limited by a plug outer part (8) fixed relatively to the pin. The positioning element has at least one axis-parallel pick-up component which can be pushed into several recesses in the pin assembly. The positioning element (4) has a tubular section which is guided on to the plug pin (3). ADVANTAGE - As a light conductor plug in which the positioning element carries out its function in possible axial relative position of the plug pin without hinderance to other constituent parts.
