The hot water tank/boiler consists of a heat conducting material, and has an opening, closed by a cover, which is in heat-conducting contact with it. The tank has a jacket of insulating material, which is at least partly enclosed by a housing with door or cover. The housing door (19) has an insulating strip (20), and this has a recess (21) to accomodate the first cover (22). This cover is for a socket (7), with flange (8), of the tank (1), which passes through an opening (16) in the jacket. In this area, the insulating strip covers the edges of this opening.
