Compsn. contains (1) at least 80 vol.% synthetic honey made from sugar and glucose; (2) at most 20 vol.% water and (3) at least 5% (expressed in terms of the water content) of a herb mixt. contg. at least the following: stinging nettle (Urtica urens); marigold (Calendula); coltsfoot (Tussilago farfara); ribwort plantain (Plantago lanceolata); comfrey (Symphytum); yarrow (Achilea); horsetail (Equisetum); thyme (Thymus vulgaris); fennel (foeniculum) and elder blossom (Sambucus nigra). Pref., each herb is at least 0.5 wt.% but not over 50 wt.% of the total mixt. One or more of the following may also be included in the herb mixt: peppermint (Mentha piperita); pimpernel (Sangui sorba minor); primrose (Primula); St. John's wort (Hypericum); speedwell (Veronica); Shepherds' purse (Capsela bursa-pastoris; summber savary (Saturea hortensis) and rosemary (Rosmarimis). Pref., the sugar is crude cane sugar or sugar candy. USE/ADVANTAGE - The compsn. may be eaten as such; spread onto bread; taken in warm or cold milk or water (1-2 coffee spoons per cup, e.g. in subjects with colds, coughs or catarrh) or used as a sweetener for e.g. yoghurt.
