Vehicle test bed with flat tyre contact area simulation - has test bed tyres supporting vehicle tyres vertically and simulating drive and braking forces

A vehicle test bed has a tyre rotating beneath the contact areas of the vehicle tyres. This provides vertical support to the vehicle tyre contact areas and/or to simulate the drive and braking forces. The vehicle tyres (1) roll directly on top of similar test bed tyres (2) arranged in mirror image formations. The tyre contact areas remain flat as a result of the symmetrical deformation of both tyres of a pair in contact. USE/ADVANTAGE - The test bed achieves a flat contact surface for the vehicle tyres using a simple mechanism and transfers the vertical and peripheral forces into it.
