Liquefied gas from a high-pressure reservoir (9) at the rear of the vehicle is delivered by a stop valve (10) to a pipe (7) running along the floor under the driving seat to engine compartment. A petrol supply valve (1) and carburettor (2) are installed in front of the engine. The fuel pipe (7) is sleeved with flexible thermoplastic polymer or synthetic rubber which may be reinforced with glass or fibre, the pipe itself being of steel, brass or copper. Driver and passengers are protected by front and rear shields (11).
