Dual-frequency acoustic transducer and its use for producing a low-frequency acoustic antenna

The dual-frequency acoustic transducer comprises, along a longitudinal axis, two logarithmic horns (6, 7) arranged on either side of two column motors (2, 3) and a central mass (1) arranged between the two motors, the dimensions of the logarithmic horns and of the motors being very different and the motors being supplied in parallel and in phase, are in phase opposition respectively, in order respectively to excite a first and a second characteristic vibration mode which are associated respectively with a first and a second resonance frequency (F1, F2) of the transducer.
