The present invention relates to an automated device for the simultaneous solid phase synthesis of several identical or different peptides as well as to an automated synthesis process used by the said automated device. Automated device for synthesis, characterised in that it consists mainly, on the one hand, of at least two independent reactors (2, 2') each connected to a module (3) for the preparation and distribution of the amino acids, controlled by a programmable automated device (4), on the other hand, of modules (5 and 6) for selection and distribution of deprotection reagents and washing solvents, respectively, also connected to the said reactors (2, 2') and, finally, a device for distribution (7) of nitrogen under different pressures permitting the transfers of the different fluids and comprising, especially, a central bubbling (8) for stirring the contents of the reactors (2, 2'), the fluid transfers and, consequently, the different phases of the synthesis, being controlled by means of valves also controlled by a programmable automated device (10).
