Method and device for producing spun fibres. A strip roving (1) is subjected to the action of a false twist spindle (4), a suction nozzle (3) being interposed between the output from the drawing-out system (1) and the said false twist spindle. According to the invention, the fibres (1a) leaving the conventional drawing-out set (2) are delivered onto a moving surface (8) which not only causes an additional drawing-out and a stretching of the bundle of fibres, but also keeps the said fibres nonsymmetric on this surface (8), the wind-up of twist imparted by the false twist spindle (4) being halted where the fibres leave this surface to be inserted into the suction zone (3) provided upstream of the spindle (4).
