Preparation of a gel containing a Justicia pectoralis Jacq. (Acanthaceae) extract indicated in the treatment of lymphovenous pathologies

The invention consists in preparing a gel from the glycerolated aqueous-alcoholic extract of Justicia pectoralis Jacq. (Acanthaceae). This preparation is noteworthy in that it consists - in using Justicia pectoralis Jacq. (leaves and stems) in order to obtain, after fine grinding and maceration in a water/alcohol/glycerol mixture in the proportions 4 : 4 : 2, a glycerolated aqueous-alcoholic extract; the alcohol used is cane sugar alcohol; - in mixing this extract in a Carbopol no. 940 gel in the proportions 1 : 1. This preparation based on Justicia pectoralis extract is noteworthy in that it contains two coumarins ( alpha -benzopyrone and umbelliferone) and four flavonoids (swertisin, swertiajaponin, O-rhamnosyl-2''-swertisin and O-rhamnosyl-2''-swertiajaponin); and in that Justicia pectoralis Jacq. has never been used, either in traditional medicine or in modern therapy, in the form of a gel based on a glycerolated aqueous-alcoholic extract, or for lymphovenous indications.
