The present invention relates to a device which makes it possible to limit the damage occasioned by the claws of cats in a flat, to feed a cat by making it take exercise, or during a short period in the absence of its owners. This device consists of a box BT which can be fixed or movable, enclosing a dispensing system DA for dried foodstuff in granules, actuated by the cat by means of a clawable part GF on which the cat can claw, and arranged on a movable support linking the controls to the dispenser. If the cat, by virtue of its claws on the clawable part, exerts a traction which is sufficient in duration or in force according to characteristics which are preestablished by the owner and adjustment which he can make, a small quantity of dry foodstuff is delivered to it as a token of recompense for the action which it has just carried out.
