Process and apparatus for removing chemical and biological warfare agents from air in order to permit the latter to be breathed by humans. The process and the apparatus employ an adsorber (20) for NBC agents, working by pressure oscillation and receiving compressed air from a turbocompressor (41) through the intermediacy of a device (43) for removing aerosols. The air leaving the adsorber (20) flows through a filter (44) and is then decompressed in a device (42) before being sent to the points of use. Field of application: shelters and military vehicles and the like. IMAGE
