P Method for limiting the spacing between two surfaces, determined by an inflatable enclosure supplied with gas under pressure. A valve (1) is used comprising a rod (5) provided with a valve (6) and two conduits (10, 11): a conduit (10) being connected to the supply of pressurized gas to the inflatable enclosure and the other leads (11) to the atmosphere. By mechanical traction on the stem (5) of the valve (1) the valve (6) opens the communication between the conduits (10 and 11) which causes deflation of the inflatable enclosure, therefore a reduction in the spacing of the two surfaces. /P
