SHELL SAND COAT LOST FOAM PATTERN CASTING METHOD

摘要

PURPOSE:To provide a casting product having good casting surface without any casting defect by constituting a shell covering a lot foam pattern, embedding the lost foam pattern coated with the dry shell into a sand and casting. CONSTITUTION:An adhesive is applied on the lost foam pattern. Successively, by sprinkling resin coated sand pre-coated with heat-setting resin on this lost foam pattern, the shell coating the lost foam pattern is constituted. Then, the lost foam pattern coated with the dry shell is embedded into the sand and cast. As the adhesive to be used, material having property of intense adhesive force at room temp. but easily decomposed and lost at the time of heating, such as vinyl acetate resin, is used. As the resin coated sand, the coated sand of phenol resin is used.
