MANUFACTURE OF LOST FOAM PATTERN AND LOST FOAM PATTERN AND CASTING METHOD USING LOST FOAM PATTERN

PURPOSE: To provide a method for manufacturing lost foam pattern and the lost foam pattern and a casting method using the lost foam pattern, which can deal with comparatively large scaled casting and can produce a casting having smooth and beautiful casting surface. ;CONSTITUTION: At the first stage, in the lost foam pattern, a part corresponding to the part where the smooth surface of the product is required is formed of a filmy formed body 1 composed of the lost foaming material and a foaming formed body 11 having a prescribed shape of the other of the product is integrated with the filmy formed body 1 to form the lost foam pattern 13. Further, at the second stage, a lost foam pattern is formed of the filmy formed body composed of the lost foam material corresponding to the whole surface of the product. At the time of casting using a replica cast ceramic shell method by using this lost foam pattern 13, the casting having smooth and beautiful casting surface can be obtd. with respect to the part demanding the smoothness in the product or the whole surface.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1995,JPO
