PURPOSE:To enable clear observation with the keeping of a streamline of current within a vertical plane for a long time by arranging a number of small- diameter tubes which house smoking agents to emit smoke by being heated with an electrically heating wire extended vertically. CONSTITUTION:This apparatus comprises an electrically heating wire 15 extended vertically, a number of small-diameter tubes 20 which are inserted thereinto axially and fixed at a proper interval and an oil pipe 10 to drop a fluid smoking agent along the tubes from an upper end of the electrically heating wire 15. When the smoking agent is dropped from the pipe 10, it flows into the upper most tube 20 to be stored and the smoking agent running over the tube 20 further flows down along the electrically heating wire 15 to flow into the subsequent tube 20. In this manner, the smoking agent is stored into all of the tubes 20. As a result, when the electrically heating wire 15 is heated, the smoking agent is heated to emit smoke. In this case, the smoking agent adhering to the electrically heating wire 15 evaporates away in a short time and afterward, a smoke is emitted by the smoking agent retained in the tube 20, thereby forming numerous flows of long smokes within the vertical plane.
