PURPOSE: To provide the method for preventing the sticking of the solidified foil produced by a single roll rapid cooling and solidifying method to a cooling roll surface by selecting the material of the roll by noticing the wettability of an Au alloy and the roll in the production of Au alloy foil. ;CONSTITUTION: This method for preventing the sticking of the rapidly cooled and sulidified foil to the roll surface for the single roll method using the cooling roll constituted of the material, at least the surface material of which does not alloy with the Au alloy in the process for production of a thin-film amorphous foil strip by ejecting a molten metal consisting of the Au alloy onto the surface of the single cooling roll rotating at a high speed, then rapidly cooling and solidifying the molten metal. A roll constituted by applying Ni plating or Ag plating to an Fe metal or Cu base material is usable as this cooling roll.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1993,JPO&Japio
