摘要

PURPOSE: To provide the process for the production of the K- or Rb-β" or β-alumina powder preparation and the ceramic molding of the preparation. ;CONSTITUTION: A cubic densely packed alumina oxide or a precursor thereof is subjected to attrition together with a doping material or a precursor thereof, the so obtained mixture is calcined in an oxygen-containing atmosphere, K2O or Rb2O or a precursor of their compounds is added to the calcination product obtained, and the mixture is subjected to attrition and then calcined in an oxygen-containing atmosphere at a temperature greater than 900°C to produce the powder preparation. Further, the powder preparation is converted by attrition, isostatic pressing and sintering into a ceramic formed body. Consequently, the K- or Rb-β" or β-alumina ceramic molding which is suitable as an ion conductor can directly and easily be manufactured at low cost.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1993,JPO
