PURPOSE: To obtain the subject pigment excellent in the purity, coloring force, hiding force, weather resistance and heat resistance and useful for coatings, inks, etc., by dispersing a specific pigment in water, depositing a silicon coating filter on the surface of the pigment, and subsequently filtering, washing with water and drying the coated pigment. ;CONSTITUTION: A zirconium-solid dissolved bismuth vanadate pigment is dissolved in water, subjected to the gradual deposition of a silicon coating film on the pigment in the dispersed state, filtered, washed with water and dried to obtain the objective pigment.
