CLARIFICATION OF WATER IN SHARROW WATER AREA

PURPOSE:To make the clarification of water easier by a method in which during the process of circulating and fluidizing water from a water-pumping cylinder to water to be clarified, a coagulant is diffused to cause suspened fine solids to precepitate and the amount of dissolved oxygen in the water is increased by operation of the water-pumping cylinder. CONSTITUTION:When compressed air is sent from an air supply tube 16 into an air chamber 2, the compressed air goes into an outer cylinder chamber 18 to lower the level of water and then goen from the hole 20 of a partition cylinder 19 into an intermediate chamber 22 to lower the level of water. When the water level reaches the position of chain line 23, compressed air in the chamber 22 goes through the communication hole 25 of an inner cylinder 24 into an inner cylinder chamber 27 and is jetted through a communication hole 29 into a water-pumping cylinder 1. The compressed air goes up in the cylinder 1 in the form of air block 31, and water in the cylinder 1 is raised, as shown by arrow 15, and jetted from the upper end of the cylinder 1. In this case, part of water passes through the net bag 8 of the container of copper sulfate or a coagulant and copper sulfate or coagulant in the bag 8 is dissolved.
