MEASURING ANGLE ERRORS CORRECTION SYSTEM FOR ANGLE MEASURING RADAR

PURPOSE:To enable the location of a target object at a high accuracy, by correcting angle measuring errors attributed to a deviation of a beam as caused when two beams with different frequencies are switched over according to information on angle position in the direction of the deviation. CONSTITUTION:A receiver 1 receives a reflected wave of a pencil beam (a) switched over to elevation and feeds an output (A) to a logarithmic amplifier 3, which amplifies it logarithmically to produce an output to a subtractor 5. On the other hand, a receiver 2 outputs a received radio wave based on a pencil beam (b) to the subtractor 5 in the same procedure. The subtractor 5 determines the difference between both the inputs and feeds it to a angle measuring errors correction computing unit 6. On the other hand, a bearing angle position corrector 7 determines an elevation position correction value A from the bearing angle position of a target, a beam shape constant and the like and feeds the results to the computing unit 6 together with an antenna constant K. The computing unit 6 outputs the results of an angle measurement by correcting errors based on these data thereby permitting the location of a target at a high accuracy.
