PURPOSE:To reduce the disorder of the surface of a row after the pressing of the row to prevent the deformed growth of vegetables, by changing the amount of a covering soil and the power of the pressing according to the depth of furrows. CONSTITUTION:In the land-grading device of a transplanter which is used for upland fields and which is provided with a furrow-forming device 19 for continuously forming furrows with furrow openers 19a, 19a at the fronts of the planting places of a transplanting device 15, and with a soil-pressing device 20 for continuously covering the furrows formed with the furrow-forming device 19 with soil and pressing the surface of a row at the rear of the planting place of the transplanting device 15, the land-grading device is characterized in that the furrow-forming device 19 and the soil-pressing device 20 are supported so as to vertically move in interlock with the frame of the transplanter.
