PURPOSE:To prevent the tube from being deformed eccentrically at the time of bending of the tube by constituting the whole mandrel of a flexible member, and forming it to a sandwich structure by a metallic plate. CONSTITUTION:A square a work W is inserted into a mandrel 6. In tube of this case, when it is inserted by gripping the extended parts of the upper and the lower plates 12, 13 of the mandrel 6, it can be inserted easily. The work W is inserted until it runs against a stopper part 23 of a mandrel gripping part 5. Subsequently, the upper die 3 descends and bending is executed. The work W is bent by a curvature of a bend die 4, and by an action of a pair of upper plate 12 and lower plate 13 of the mandrel 6, friction of the inside surface of the tube and the mandrel 6 is reduced, and also, the influence of waviness, deformation, etc., of rubber is not exerted directly on the inside surface of the tube, and the external appearance quality is not deteriorated.
