PURPOSE:To provide such microcapsules for a heat accumulating material that difference between a melting point and a freezing point of a compound attending on the change of a phase encapsulated in the microcapsule, namely, the supercooling of the compd. is prevented. CONSTITUTION:In the microcapsules for a heat accumulating material encapsulating a compd. attending on the phase change, a compd. having a higher melting point than that of the compd. attending on the phase change by 40-100 deg.C is incorporated in a compd. attending on phase change. The high melting point compd. is mixed in the range of 0.5-30%. As the high melting point compd., carboxylic acids, alcohols, and amides are exemplified.
