PURPOSE: To clip a work carry automatically by providing an energizing means so as to contact a clip member with a roll work. ;CONSTITUTION: A plurality of clip type work carry are retained by a work carry retainer 25 of an automatic clip type work carry detaching device 24. And a selected one of the clip type work carries 13 is subjected to turn on the axis of a roll work by a turning mechanism 36 of the automatic clip type work carry detaching device 24. After that the clipping member of the clip type work carry 13 is enlarged against a energizing means by a close/open mechanism 43 and transferred to the prescribed position of the roll work by a transfer mechanism 32.
