PURPOSE: To synthesize a natural performance tone by eliminating the unnaturalness of the timbre of an ensemble tone musical instrument tone. ;CONSTITUTION: Waveform data outputted from tone generation channels 301-303 corresponding to pitch data whose frequencies are modulated by frequency modulation parts 41-43 are added together by an adder 323 to synthesize the ensemble tone. A frequency arithmetic part 40 calculates frequency modulation data F1 from frequency modulation data F2 and F3 which vary with time and outputs the data and the frequency modulation part 41-43 impose frequency modulation on pitch data according to the mutually relative frequency modulation data F1-F3, so the ensemble tone which consists of the harmonized waveform data and has small pitch variation is synthesized.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1993,JPO&Japio
