PURPOSE: To enable a flow number value to be efficiently measured at high precision by dropping a hammer lifted up by a specified cified distance, along a guide rod, and by processing the intruding quantity of a sampler and a flow number to be computed with a measuring device. ;CONSTITUTION: A running vehicle 3 is moved to a test position, and at the directly upper section of a sampler 52 to be previously inserted into a bored hole, and the rod 51 jointed to the sampler, a hammer 25 is positioned. After that, by hammer retaining device 17, the hammer 25 is lifted up by a specified distance, and at an upper end section, the hammer 25 is released, and is freely dropped along guide rod supported by a support 5. After that, by the dropped hammer 25, strike is applied to a hammer bearing 15 set on the upper section of the sampler 52, and the sampler 52 is intruded in soil. Then, the input of the intruding quantity and a blow number to a measuring controller 40 is provided to be processed to be computed, and a flow number N value based on JIS-A1219 is computed.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1993,JPO&Japio
