PURPOSE: To obtain a mold for spheroidizing treatment capable of improving the productivity, Mg yield, countermeasure of fuming, etc., and a casting method using this mold. ;CONSTITUTION: This mold 10 for spheroidizing treatment is composed of a reaction mold 1 provided with a reaction chamber 3 incorporating the spheroidizing agent 6 on the way of a sprue 2 or a runner and a product mold 7 provided with a casting cavity 8, and a molten metal outlet 5 in the reaction mold 3 is connected with a molten metal inlet in the product mold 7. At the time of casting molten metal (molten cast iron), after passing through the reaction chamber 3 in the reaction mold 1, the molten cast iron is changed to the spheroidal graphite cast iron composition and the spheroidal graphite cast iron is cast into the cavity 8 in the product mold 7.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1993,JPO&Japio
