CATALYST FOR PRODUCTION OF PHENOL, ITS PRODUCTION AND PRODUCTION OF PHENOL

摘要

PURPOSE:To increase the rate of conversion of benzoic acid and the selectivity of phenol and to enhance the space time yield of phenol by the increased rate and selectivity. CONSTITUTION:Iron oxide, nickel oxide and an alkaline earth metal compd. are contained in a catalyst. When this catalyst is produced, iron oxide and nickel oxide are calcined at about 600-900 deg.C before or after the alkaline earth metal compd. is added. Benzoic acid is subjected to vapor phase oxidation in the presence of the catalyst to produce phenol.
