MACHINING CENTER FOR MACHINING BAR MATERIAL

PURPOSE:To save labor for machining a bar material in a machining center. CONSTITUTION:A lengthy bar material 40 is held on a V-groove 23. A table 5 is approached to the V-groove 23, and the tip of the bar material 40 is clamped by means of a chuck 9. The table 5 is separated from the V-groove 23 by a specified distance to extract the bar material 40 from the V-groove 23. The bar material 40 is cut off by means of a cutter 30 to produce a specified size of work 40a. The table 5 is moved to oppose the work 40a, clamped by means of the chuck 9, to a spindle 12, and the machining is started. Thus labor of cutting, transporting, and loading of the raw material can be saved, and man-hour for control the raw material can also be reduced. In addition, the machining allowance of the raw material and the amount of end material can be reduced.
