PURPOSE: To acculately measure the change of a magnetic domain and magnetization of a head in the reproducing state by measuring magnetic magnetization with a photoelectric conversion means using a Kerr effect. ;CONSTITUTION: A lower part magnetic thin film on whose surface a non-magnetic thin film is provided, is provided on the surface of a non-magnetic plate and further on the surface of the non-magnetic plate, a first insulation thin film on whose surface a coil part consisting of a coil conductor 6 and a second insulation thin film is provided, is provided. Then, the track part 12 of one side thin film magnetic head 10 forming an upper part magnetic thin film 9 on the surface of the coil part and the track part 12 of the other side thin film magnetic head 11 made similarly are arranged closely to each other. An AC current is made to flow through the coil conductor 6 of one side thin film magnetic head 10 and magnetic flux 14 is generated in the coil part and the magnetic flux is entered into the track part 12 of the other thin film magnetic head 11. Then, the magnetic domain of the upper magnetic film 9 of the other thin film magnetic head 11 is measured by a Kerr microscope and the magnetization is measured by the photoelectric conversion means 16 using the Kerr effect.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1993,JPO&Japio
