NON-AQUEOUS DISPERSION OF PERFLUOROALKYL GROUP-CONTAINING COPOLYMER AND WATER-REPELLENT AND OIL-REPELLENT AGENT

PURPOSE: To provide the subject dispersion of copolymer non-aqueous having excellent water repellency and oil repellency by dispersing a copolymer consisting of a perfluoroalkyl group-containing acrylate and a long chain alkyl group-containing (meth)acrylate as essential components in a specific nonpolar nonhalogenated organic solvent. ;CONSTITUTION: A copolymer consisting of a perfluoroalkyl group-containing acrylate and a long chain alkyl group-containing (meth)acrylate such as stearyl acrylate as essential components is dispersed in a nonpolar nonhalogenated organic solvent such as toluene having a solubility parameter of 8-9 to produce the objective non-aqueous dispersion free from the anxiety about the breakage of the ozone layer and which permits excellent water-repellent and oil-repellent treatments. The copolymer is preferably a copolymer consisting of 50-70wt.% of the perfluoroalkyl group-containing acrylate and 10-50wt.% of the long chain alkyl group-containing (meth)acrylate as the essential components.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1993,JPO&Japio
