METHOD FOR INDUCING ADVENTITIOUS BUD IN TISSUE CULTURE OF PLANT

PURPOSE:To enable the growth of a large amount of uniform adventitious buds in high efficiency by collecting a part of a plant organ, inducing a callus from the collected organ and inducing an adventitious bud while carrying out a low-temperature culture at a stage during the above process. CONSTITUTION:A part of a plant organ is collected and cultured in a callus- inducing medium. The induced callus is proliferated and transferred to a medium for inducing adventitious bud. The induced bud is transferred to a rooting medium to effect the rooting of the bud. In the above tissue culture process, the callus is cultured at a low temperature (0-15 deg.C) for a prescribed time at a stage immediately before the induction of the adventitious bud from the callus or a stage to start the induction of the adventitious bud and the temperature is raised to the original level to continue the objective culture.
