PURPOSE:To attain highly accurate diagnosis of a system by applying frequency band split to the component of a transmitter modulation input signal and a transmitter output modulated component respectively, applying sampling coding to them simultaneously, detecting the correlation in both input/output time axis and frequency axis and applying arithmetic processing to it in a software. CONSTITUTION:The monitoring device receives an STL transmission component being a modulation input and an AIR reception component being a broadcast equipment output. BPFs 2A, 2B are utilized to divide an input signal into the prescribed number of bands, thereby extracting the voice spectrum of each band. The spectrum is given to A/D converter circuits 8a, 8b, in which the spectrum is converted into a digital signal with matching performance and the signal is preserved in a RAM. Every time the conversion is finished, a code representing the correlation is being generated in response to the level between channels. The state of a transmission line and the modulation state of the broadcast equipment, etc., are monitored by comparing the codes. Thus, the diagnosis of the system is attained with high accuracy.
