PURPOSE:To obtain the subject new therapeutic agent, comprising an ovomacroglobulin as an active ingredient and capable of producing preventing and curing promoting effects on pyorrhea alveolaris. CONSTITUTION:The objective preventing and therapeutic agent is obtained by blending an ovomacroglobulin (a glycoprotein having 600000-800000 molecular weight) prepared from albumen such as a chicken or a duck as a raw material in an amount within the range of, e.g. 0.0001-30wt.% in the pharmaceutical. This agent is intended for use by daily drinking it once to plural times or spraying or applying the agent as a lotion, an aerosol, etc., to affected parts.
