PURPOSE: To make a method preparing an additional patch area in advance by the correction with a patch as a load module maintenance method and the use control of the area easier. ;CONSTITUTION: An object module 4 and a load module 7 are prepared by providing a compilation time parameter 1 and a linkage time parameter 5 for adding a patch area on a linkage editor 6 preparing a compiler 2 and a load module 7 which prepare the object module 4 and by adding the patch area size designated by a control parameter to the size of the object to be generated from a source program 3. A load module patch tool 9 updates a patch area control part when an unused patch area is used and controls the use of the patch area by remaining information on how far the patch area has been used in the load module 7.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1993,JPO&Japio
