METHOD FOR MOUNTING EXPLOSION-PROOF TYPE CATHODE-RAY TUBE AND EXPLOSION-PROOF TYPE CATHODE-RAY TUBE USED TRHEREWITH

PURPOSE: To facilitate the work process of mounting a cathode-ray tube, by making the structure so as to prevent displacement between the hole of a mounting lug and the hole of a mounting frame for the cathode-ray tube which is caused by shrinkage of a shrink band. ;CONSTITUTION: After a funnel 2 and a panel 3 are firmly fixed to a cathode-ray tube, a shrink band 4 welded at the superimposed part to be formed into a rectangular-shape is heated to be expanded and fitted the to circumference of the cathode-ray tube and then fastened. Mounting lugs 8 are welded at four corners of the band 4 before shrinkage fitting. The power of preventing implosion is obtained from shrinkage of the band 4. Even when a lug 8 is displaced due to shrinkage of the band 4, the central axis of a hole 8a is not deviated from that of a mounting screw hole 7a, so that the operation of mounting a cathode-ray tube on the mounting frame is facilitated.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1993,JPO&Japio
