METHOD AND STRUCTURE OF JOINTING BURIED PIPE FOR JACKING PROCESS

PURPOSE: To easily joint a couple buried pipes to each other in the completely cut-off condition. ;CONSTITUTION: A collar 20 is fitted on fitting parts 11 provided at the ends of respective buried pipes 10. The collar 20 is provided with a couple of injection inlets 21, 21 for a cut-off agent. A couple of sealing members 30, 31 closely attached on the fitting parts 11 of the buried pipe 10 are provided respectively so as to put the injection inlet between the sealing members. A foaming urethane 41 is injected from the injection inlet 21 into the space between the sealing members 30, 31 and also the collar 20 and the fitting part 11. The space between the fitting part 11 and the collar 20 is prevented from permeating of water because the urethane 41 foams and hardens.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1993,JPO&Japio
