PURPOSE: To form editing work history in each optional section in a text and to manage the formed history. ;CONSTITUTION: This section history editing system has a file input function 1b for reading out a text file from an external storage device and storing the read file in a text editing table 16 and a section history table 1e, an editing function 1a for operating the table 1d based upon editing operation information on a text inputted from a key input part 4, updating the objective section history information on operation history information in the table 1e and displaying the edited text and the section history information on a picture display part 3 and a file output function 1c for outputting the section history information following the editing section in the text at the time of outputting the text to the file.
