摘要

PURPOSE:To obtain a micro-habitat made of charcoal by attaching chitosan to the wall surface of fine pores of charcoal until the spines on the wall surface are embedded in the chitosan, thereby covering the spines disliked by microorganisms and eliminating the polarity of the pore wall to remove the fixation-inhibiting factor. CONSTITUTION:Charcoal having a size of 5-10mm and prepared by carbonizing commercially available chip coal at 600-700 deg.C is immersed in a solution of chitosan having a deacetylation degree of =70% (produced by dissolving 1% chitosan in 5% aqueous solution of acetic acid) at 50-60 deg.C for 8-16hr to give the objective micro-habitat covered with the chitosan to embed the surface spines to a depth necessary for settling microorganisms.
