PURPOSE: To control a treatment parameter while the temperature of the skin of a patient is controlled by providing a high frequency electromagnetic energy generator, a means for applying electromagnetic energy, a means for controlling the temperature of the skin of a patient, and a microprocessor. ;CONSTITUTION: This device comprises a high frequency electromagnetic energy generator 1, an applicator 3 including a ridge conical antenna 31 for applying electromagnetic energy, a skin temperature sensor 4 including an insulating and preamplifying means 41, and a flexible dielectric connected to a radiating aperture of an antenna 31 transmitting a high frequency signal with 500 MHz or less, and further comprises a waterproof bag 32 containing a temperature control fluie having controllable temperature and pressure. An arm 2 is moved with the applicator 3 to make the bag 32 adhere to the surface of the skin of a patient, and the temperature of the skin is continuously examined by the sensor 4, and the supply of power is controlled by a controller 6 to keep previously selected temperature.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1993,JPO
