IMAGE READER AND PAGE-TURNING READER FOR BOOK TYPE ORIGINAL

摘要

PURPOSE:To improve the reliability of reading operation and page-turning operation by executing exposure scanning from a home position by a reading means and detecting the edge position of the uppermost original page of a spread book original. CONSTITUTION:At the time of reading scanning of a book original O, a page turning/reading unit 1 is vertically reciprocated along the original face of the book original O spread on an original plating plate 100. Thereby the original face of the book original O is traced by a reading sensor unit in a reading means 400 while being depressed to the original setting face 100a side by a page pressing belt 200 and the page turning/ reading unit 1. When the book original O is thick, the rugged state of the original face is increased, and especially a difference in level between an edge part and a center binding part is increased, but the reading sensor unit presses the original face of the original O and forms the end part of a scanning face like an R shape to read out an image on the original face.
