PURPOSE:To obtain a treating agent for renopathy comprising bucillamine showing inhibitory action on excretion of urinary proteins, inhibitory action on rise in blood urine nitrogen and alleviating action on lesion of glomerrulus, or a salt thereof as an active ingredient. CONSTITUTION:A treating agent for renopathy comprising bucillamine shown by the formula or a salt thereof (e.g. sodium salt or potassium salt) as an active ingredient, for treating renopathy such as nephritis, drug nephropathy or renal insufficiency. Does of the compound is 100-1,000mg daily and administered once or several times dividedly. The agent may be administered orally or parenterally.
