CLONING OF ENVIRONMENT ADAPTATION RESPONSE GENE

PURPOSE: To provide a method for the quick and easy cloning of an environment adaptation response gene. ;CONSTITUTION: An environment adaptation response gene (evgS, evgA) of E.coli adaptable to temperature variation is cloned by using a microorganism deficient in sensor protein gene such as Escherichia coli RU1012 strain (▵envZ, ϕompC- lacZ) as a host and the expression of the activity of β-galactosidase bound to the promoter of a target gene (ompC) as an index. A gene of Thermus aquaticus responding to the high-temperature is cloned in a similar manner.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1993,JPO&Japio
