DOCTOR BLADE AND DOCTOR BLADE AND DEVELOPING ROLLER STRUCTURE

PURPOSE: To ideally eliminate a change corresponding to a visual image formed with toner by providing a doctor blade with a doctor surface having a metallic layer on an irregular surface such as particulate grit on a flexible reinforcing layer and pressing the flexible reinforcing layer by an elastic structure constituted of a foamed body. ;CONSTITUTION: The doctor blade 1 whose electrified surface is brought into contact with a part of a developing roller 7 and where voltage to adjust the quantity of the toner held on the developing roller 7 is applied is provided. Also, a structure is constituted of a flexible reinforcing member 21, a supporting member 2 where the doctor blade 1 is arranged in the proximity of the developing roller 7, a layer 17 having the irregular surface combined with the surface of the reinforcing member 21 confronted with the developing roller 7 and the metallic layer 15 provided at least at the lower part area 5a of the irregular surface. The irregular surface is formed of the particulate grit. Thus, the change of the toner caused by the change of the surfaces of the doctor blade 1 and the roller 7 is reduced.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1993,JPO
