ON-LINE STAPLER HAVING COMMON POWER SOURCE AND COPY MACHINE WITH SIMPLE STAPLER

PURPOSE: To provide a copier, printer, or the like, having automatic stapler function additionally with manual convenience stapler function without increase power consumption. CONSTITUTION: An independent auxiliary motor driven convenience stapler 12 responding to request of manual sheet insertion, or the like, is disposed at a position easy to access manually from the outside. When a stapler power supply 18 is supplying a bookmaking finish stapler 16 with driving force, a controller 100 prohibits operation of the convenience stapler 12 for a short time. Since the controller 100 switches an existing power supply between auto and manual, power consumption is not increased even if manual stapler function is provided additionally.
