PURPOSE: To put plural musical sounds in phase when ≥2 musical sounds having the same pitch names are generated. ;CONSTITUTION: A waveform memory 3 wherein waveform data which are so limited that the number of waveform data in one cycle is in ×2n relation are stored by ≥1 periods a CPU 4 which specifies the channel number of a musical sound signal to be generated yet when a musical signal to be generated newly has the same pitch name with the musical sound signal generated yet, a waveform read address register 2 for the channel number, a bit shifter 5 which shifts up or down an address value according to the octave difference of the musical sound having the same pitch name and the number of respective waveform data, and a readout start address selector 5 which obtains the address value obtained by specifying the shift value as the waveform readout start address of the musical sound signal to be generated newly are combined to put the musical sounds having the same pitch name is phase as to optional channel numbers.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1993,JPO&Japio
