PURPOSE: To prevent the occurrence of breakage due to contact of an air bag, mounted on the upper part of a dash board, with a windshield during actuation or an excessive force exerted on a housing through reaction by actuation. CONSTITUTION: A holding device 4 formed of a flat steel is extended through along a position below the bottom of a housing 6 and engaged with the housing. This holding device is protruded to both sides of the housing. A deformable bridge part 9 to absorb energy is formed between the lateral end part of the housing and the mounting points 7 of the holding device at vehicle fixing parts arranged at intervals. By the bridge part, the holding device is twisted in two directions around the vertical axis of the holding device during load.
